Motorola Mobility Launches 3G and Wi-Fi Xoom Tablet in India

The Economic Times reported that Indian tablet market saw yet another tablet manufacturer launching its tablet. Motorola Mobility launched its Xoom tablet in 3G and Wi-Fi which were priced at Rs. 32,990 and 39,990, respectively.

According to the news paper, the newly launched tablet is going to compete with the Apple iPad and Samsung Galaxy Tab, BlackBerry PlayBook, Chinese manufacturers such as HTC, Huawei and G’Five.

Citing the International Data Corporation, the news paper reported that tablet market will see fourfold increase in the sales in the next two years. Analysts told the news paper that tablet PC segment in India will touch to sales of one million units over the next 12 months.

The paper quoted Motorola Mobility mobile devices business country head for sales and operations (India and South West Asia) as saying: “Motorola Xoom will delight customers with its ease of use, speed and vivid graphics”.
