HP Updates all-in-one PC series with the launch of HP TouchSmart 610

The Times of India reported that keeping its promise of introducing an ergonomically comfortable PC series, HP has updated its all-in-one PC category by introducing HP TouchSmart 610. The PC can recline upto 30 degrees and it comes with TouchSmart software that allows the users pinch, rotate, arc, flick, press, and drag items on their desktop with multi-touch gestures.

Following are HP TouchSmart features:

  • A 23-inch diagonal high-definition display
  • Increased range of motion, viewing and an intutive touch experience
  • Wide Angle, optimal viewing angles while reclined
  • LED backlit LCD screen
  • Uncluttered appearance
  • Control features located at the right and left side of the display
  • A new HP LinkUp application. With this application, users can link a notebook PC to the TouchSmart through a home network only
  • Applications that will be pre-loaded with the PC include Facebook, Twitter, HP’s RecipeBox, Webcam and music applications
  • New applications can be added via the TouchSmart Apps Center
  • Inclusion of Beats Audio lets the users listen the audio the way artists listen

The new PC will be available for Rs. 74,150. The news paper quoted the Senior Director Product & Marketing (PSG), HP India, Vinay Awasthi as saying:
“TouchSmart 610 All-in-One PC has been designed to provide a holistic touch-enabled entertainment experience to our users and serve as a one stop shop for all their computing needs. Its reclining design with adaptable features makes it an ideal choice for users across age groups.”
